Personal Injury and Industrial Disease

An accredited mediator, Jeff’s areas of particular expertise as a lawyer include Personal Injury litigation, Employment Law and workplace disputes, and civil & commercial litigation. Jeff brings over 30 years of legal experience to the Citadel team, having joined Croftons Solicitors as an assistant solicitor in 1978 and ending his time there when he retired as a partner in 2015; having experience in a wide range of legal services, but latterly dealing mainly with personal injury and industrial disease cases.

In the mid 90’s, Jeff oversaw and had an active role in the development and marketing of the personal injury department at Croftons right up until his retirement in January 2015. Jeff has seen first-hand the demands that litigation proceedings have on the financial and emotional resources of the parties. The changes to the Civil Procedure Rules now require parties in dispute to actively consider alternative dispute resolution. Qualifying as a Mediator helped him to recognise the value of mediation. In Jeff’s opinion and professional experience, mediation can achieve very positive outcomes for parties entrenched in costly and complex litigation.

At Citadel Jeff’s vast experience and knowledge, together with his calm and measured manner, means he leads on assignments with clients and teams. Having seen so many changes in civil litigation during his career Citadel clients have much to gain from his input and strategic management of cases.
