Alison is a personal injury lawyer with over 20 years’ experience of handling catastrophic and serious personal injury cases with specific interest in acquired brain injury and amputation cases, as well as significant clinical negligence experience.
Alison was one of the senior members of the brain injury team at NewLaw until June 2013, having previously assisted in the development of a clinical negligence department at Hutton’s, Cardiff.
Alison is a member of the Headway solicitor list and is a trustee of Headway Cardiff, supporting individuals, their families and carers’ who have experienced traumatic brain injury. She is also a Law Society Personal Injury Panel Assessor.
In 2007, Alison was the solicitor instructed in the ground breaking claim of A v Powys Local Health Board  EWHC 2996 (QB) where the client recovered record damages in the High Court of over £10million.
She is also a tribunal judge and a Senior Litigator Emeritus and Brain Injury Specialist Emeritus with the Association of Personal Injury Lawyers (APIL).
At Citadel Law, Alison assists law firms with all stages of catastrophic injury cases, in particular using her expertise in brain injury litigation to conduct initial case reviews and assessment of prospects, case load management and planning and development of solicitors’ skills.
